Patricia Ann Hruska
January 28th, 1939 - April 22nd, 2008
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Mon. Apr. 28, 2008 prior to the Rosary Patricia Ann Hruska Patricia Ann Hruska, 69, of Tumwater, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on April 22 at her home in Tumwater surrounded by family. She was born January 28, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska to Lloyd and Margie (Miller) Shannon. In June 1957, Patricia graduated from North High School in Omaha. She married Thomas Hruska on August 9, 1958. Prior to moving to Tumwater in 1999, she lived in Omaha, Nebraska from 1939 - 1965, Ellensburg from 1965 - 1979, Canoga Park and Laguna Hills, California from 1979 - 1999. She was a homemaker and also worked as a Montessori Teacher, Parish Secretary with St. Andrews, Sales Associate all in Ellensburg. She also worked as a Medical Insurance Claims Processor with Blue Cross and was an Assistant Manager with Technical Book Company, both of California. She retired in 1993. Her hobbies included genealogy, reading, cooking, studying nature and bird watching She is deeply loved and survived by her husband Thomas of Tumwater; by her children Suzan Hruska of Seattle, Thomas (Bethanie) Hruska and grandson Evan of Alpine, Wyoming, and Karen (Dr. Douglas) Jeske and grandson, Addison, of Tumwater. Patricia will be remembered as being a devoted wife and an inspirational supporter to her family and to all those who came to know her, always praying for others and putting their needs first. She was very passionate about nurturing her children and grandchildren and took great delight in teaching them the Catholic faith, the wonder of nature, history and reading. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1021 Boundary Street, Olympia, at 12:00 noon with Rosary at 11:30 am, on Monday, April 28, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Show the Truth Washington State, PO Box 6085, Olympia, WA 98507, or Pope John Paul II High School, PO Box 875, East Olympia, WA 98540.
