Patricia Eleanor Michaelson
April 14th, 1931 - June 24th, 2011
atricia, of Lake Forest Park, passed away peacefully on June 24 th after a long illness. She was born in Lewiston, Idaho on April 14, 1931 to Rose Clouse and John Hays, moved to Seattle in 1946 and graduated from Ballard High School in 1949. Pat worked in banking for Peoples/US Bank in Seattle. She was a mother of seven and grandmother of ten. She enjoyed volunteer work, reading, following politics and gardening the latter in her younger days before a car accident curtailed many activities. She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh. She lived in California from 1962 to 1974, the last seven years in Santa Rosa where she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and did volunteer work at Memorial Hospital, visited nursing homes and taught sewing to juvenile offenders and also was a member of the St Vincent de Paul Society at St Pius X Church in Mountlake Terrace. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 62 years, John H. Michaelson of Lake Forest Park, daughters Nancy (Peter) Celms and Barbara Barclay of Bothell., and Susan (Richard) Rincon of Lake Stevens, and sons, Thomas Michaelson and James (Marife) Michaelson of Sacramento, and Robert (Chia) Michaelson of Seattle, and ten grandchildren: Sara and Nicholas Celms; Brian and Eric Michaelson; Jason, Monique and Megan Michaelson; Rebecca French; and Ryan and Lara Rincon. She was preceded in death by her son John A. Michaelson. Our family wishes to thank Richmond Beach Rehab/Nursing home for their kindness to Pat and to all of us.
