Patricia "Pat" Jean Miller

Patricia Jean Miller Patricia Miller, known best as “Pat” or “Grandmother”, passed away at the age of 72 in her home in Arvada, Colorado on Friday, October 22nd, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was a kind and generous wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to any person in need, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She joins her one and only son, Derrick, in eternal life, leaving behind a husband, Rodney; a daughter, Terry; seven grandchildren, Frisha, Ilea, Derrick, Leilani, Becca, Brandi, and Jimmy; four great grandchildren, Bella, Stephen, Matthew, and Abby; and many others. Patricia was incredibly devoted to her family and taking care of those around her, and her family extended far beyond blood. A native Hawaiian, born in Honolulu, Oahu, Patricia lived in Hawaii until she had her two children, Derrick and Terry, and met and married her husband Rodney, who was serving in the Navy at the time. They then moved to Missouri, and later made their permanent home in Arvada, Colorado, where they spent the better part of three decades together, loving each other and raising their family. She was a colorful character full of life and laughter, and engaged in the more than occasional trip to a casino, and was an avid collector of beautiful and intricate things. She had a particular affinity for dolls and high end purses, and both collections have been passed down within the family. They serve as a tangible part of her legacy, and will allow her family and those closest to her to hold on to a piece of her after her passing. Patricia was a spiritual woman of deep faith and belief in the Catholic Church, and her memory will be honored at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Olde Town Arvada. The service will be on Friday, November 5th, with the praying of the rosary at 10:00am and a funeral service following at 10:30am
