Patricia Stallings Savino, 73, of Charlotte, passed away December 31, 2017 at Hospice of Union County. Patricia was born in Panama City, FL on January 31, 1944, to the late Thomas J. Stallings and the late Juanita F. Stallings. She spent the majority of her childhood in the Hopewell/Colonial Heights, VA area and ultimately completed high school in Charlotte at Harding High School. She attended St. Andrews Presbyterian College and Charlotte College (UNCC) prior to working for The Charlotte Observer, Derita Floral Supply and The Barringer Hotel. She spent the remainder of her career working for Tom Robertson Insurance Agency (including post acquisitions) in Charlotte in 1976 as an Office Manager, where she retired from in 2011. Patricia was very active at Sharon United Methodist where she volunteered for many activities over the years including but not limited to; Room in the Inn, tutoring at local elementary schools and supporting many daily/weekly functions around the church. She actively supported the Humane Society of Charlotte as well. She was an avid reader and enjoyed flower/plant gardening. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her son, Jerry Savino (Charlotte), her brother Thomas Stallings and sister-in-law, Susan (Kiawah Island, S.C.), and her niece Susan Amanda Stallings(Charlotte), and a number of cousins in the surrounding area. The family will receive friends at 12:00pm followed by a 1:00pm service on Monday, January 8th, 2018 at Sharon United Methodist Church 4411 Sharon Road Charlotte, NC 28211, officiated by Pastor Nancy Miller Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care - Charlotte Region or Humane Society of Charlotte.
