Patricia Ruth Sheetz

Patricia R. (Kaminky) Sheetz passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023, surrounded by her family following a short illness. Pat was born in Greeley, CO on September 15, 1941 to William J. Kaminky and Ruth Beryl (Johnston) Kaminky. Pat grew up and attended school in Eaton, CO and married her high school sweetheart Clarence E. (Gene) Sheetz. They’ve lived in the Galeton, Eaton and Greeley areas throughout their lives and raised 3 children. Pat and Gene recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. After their youngest child started school, Pat began a 37 year career at State Farm in Greeley, retiring in 2004. Pat loved her family and was an avid reader and accomplished knitter. She also enjoyed playing bingo with friends in their community. Pat and Gene are members of Generations Church in Greeley. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother Robert F. Kaminky and her sister Kaye F. Rheingans. She is survived by her husband Gene Sheetz, daughter Patricia Shupe and husband Harvey of Frederick, CO, son Michael and Kathy Sheetz of Greeley, son Scott Sheetz and wife Barb of Mesa, AZ; 5 adult grandchildren, Garrett Shupe and spouse Christina, Whitney Shupe and spouse Jen Goodson, Josh Sheetz and spouse Kate Belford, Chantae Sheetz and David Ware; 2 great-grandchildren, Liam Gomez and Tyr Sheetz-Belford. A memorial service will be held on Monday March 6th at 10am at Generations Church, 3600 W 22nd St. Greeley, CO. A lunch reception in the church fellowship hall will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Pat in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Generations Church 3600 W 22nd St. Greeley, CO 80634.
