Patricia M. Tubbs, age 71, of Mayfiled, died Friday, April 6, 2018 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. She was born January 2, 1947 in Speculator, the daughter of the late William and Marguerite Courtney. She was employed at Coleco Industries in Mayfield for 25 years and later by Hussman, Inc. of Gloversville for several years. Pat was a member of the Mayfield Center Community Church. She loved her cat "Shadow". She is survived by a daughter, Tia Tubbs (John Gifford) of Mayfield; four grandchildren, Brenda Alessi (Marshall), Brandon Tubbs, Aaron Tubbs and Kenneth Gifford; a brother, Franklin Courtney (Janet) and a sister, Carol Krzeski; as well as several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Emma and Peter Cappel, Harold Tubbs and James Tubbs. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Kenneth Tubbs; three sisters, Barbara Scantlebury, Brenda Hallenbeck and Marvene "Dawn" Courtney. A graveside service was held 11:00 Tuesday, May 8 at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
