Patricia Lynn Eckstrom Vandenberg, 73, passed away on August 21, 2018 at UK Markey Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born May 2, 1945 to the late Hugo and Signe Holmstrom Eckstrom in Duluth, MN. Patricia was an artist, enjoyed interior design, antiques, quilting, sewing and other crafts. Aside from her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Carla Leland. Patricia is survived by her husband Joseph Vandenberg; children, Deborah (Edward) Reiss, Sandra Glassbrook, Aaron Vandenberg and Melissa (Shane Aday) Vandenberg; grandchildren Eric Higgins and Jordan Schmitz, great grandchild Brantley Gage, and nephews Dayle and Thomas Leland. Services will be held in Shelby Township, MI at a future date. The family has requested donations be made in memory of Patricia to the Scandinavian Society of Lexington, KY.
