Patricia Elaine Wade
January 24th, 1949 - August 2nd, 2024
Patricia (Pat) Elaine Wade, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She was born on January 24, 1949, in Loveland, Colorado, to Layton R. "Murf" and Josephine R. Fossett. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1967, and later moved to Denver where she attended Parks School of Business. After graduating she worked at several banks in Denver. She married her husband, Jim, on October 8, 1971. They moved back to Loveland in 1983 to raise their family.
Pat dedicated 25 years to running an in-home daycare, nurturing countless children who each held a special place in her heart. Her commitment to the well-being and development of young minds was evident in the loving care she provided.
She found joy in traveling, watching home remodeling and classic TV shows, reading, and solving daily word puzzles in the newspaper. She also enjoyed being active in the many activities her kids did while growing up such as scouts, band, and clogging. As a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland, Pat was deeply involved in her faith community.
Pat is survived by her husband, Jim Wade; son, Joshua Wade; daughter, Hilary Putman and son-in-law Brian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Layton R. "Murf" and Josephine R. Fossett, and her sister, Dr. Joyce A. Little.
A service to celebrate Pat's life will be held on August 9, 2024, at 11 am at St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland, Colorado. Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland is assisting the family during this time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Pat can be made to St. Jude's, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Larimer County Food Bank, or the American Cancer Society, reflecting her compassionate spirit and dedication to various causes.
