Patricia Will
July 10th, 1952 - February 28th, 2023
Patricia (Trish) Will, 70, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on February 28, 2023 surrounded by her family. Trish was born on July 10, 1952, on Long Island, New York, to Barbara (McCaughan) and Rodman Quinby and had three brothers: Brian, Peter, and Tom Quinby. Following her father’s work with United Airlines, they moved first to Colorado and then settled in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Here, Trish enjoyed the early opportunities provided for woman’s sports in school. Her summers were spent on Crystal Lake, lifeguarding and sailing on a Sunfish built by her father. She attended college at Colorado State University before receiving a Nursing degree. While attending CSU, Trish met the love of her life, Douglas Ray Will. They were married on April 27, 1974, in Fort Collins, Colorado. They lived in Aurora and Pueblo, CO before making Loveland, CO their home, where they raised their two sons, Nathan Rodman Will and Christopher Marvin Will. Trish was a wonderful nurse and had a rewarding career in Oncology, both as a staff nurse and later as the Director of Medical Oncology at Northern Colorado Medical Center. The last fifteen years of her career were spent as an informatics nurse helping implement an electronic medical record system in all Banner hospitals. Trish had many talents. She was a master knitter, gardener, baker, and purveyor of canned goods, and loved traveling and exploring the world. Trish was also a passionate advocate, volunteering her time to address childhood food insecurity at Kids Pak and providing services to those impacted by abuse at Alternatives to Violence, where she served on the Board of Directors. Trish loved making memories with her family and grandchildren Caitlin, Ashlee, Gavin, and Molly. She made sure to attend every sporting event, concert, and theatrical performance for her sons and grandchildren. Trish played an active role in supporting her family’s interests and passions and was a source of strength and support to many. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Trish is survived by her husband, Douglas Will; sons Nate (Amy) Will and Chris (Beth) Will; grandchildren Caitlin (16), Ashlee (14), Gavin (13), and Molly (10) Will; brothers Pete (Sara) Quinby, and Tom (Gigi) Quinby; nephew Aaron Quinby; and many dear friends and family. She is preceded in death by her father, Rodman Quinby, mother, Barbara McCaughan, brother, Brian Quinby, and niece, Megan Quinby.
