Patricia Marion Zimmerman Ford
December 30th, 1931 - January 1st, 2016
Patricia Marion Zimmerman Ford, 84, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Wilkinson Center. Born December 30, 1931 in Mayfield, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Addie May Frank Zimmerman. Patricia was a 1949 graduate of Mayfield Central Schools. After high school she worked for several glove shops in the area. In 1969 she began working as a bookkeeper at the family business Ford Sales & Service with her husband Russell. She joined the Mayfield Grange in August of 1945 recently celebrating her 70th year of membership, where she held positions of Secretary and Lady Assistant Steward. Patricia was a 50 year member of the Mayfield Presbyterian Church serving as President of the Presbyterian Woman's Association for 20 years. She also served as President of the Bannertown 50 Plus and Senior Club. Patricia also volunteered her time at the Gloversville Public Library working many book and food sales. Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years Russell Edward Ford; son William Russell Ford (Deborah); daughter Kimberly May Ford Sakadalsky (Rick); grandchildren William Ford, Jr, Scott Ford, Daniel Edward Montoney and Barbie Lynn Klingbeil; great-grandchildren Jordan, Jade and Dominick Wadsworth, Carson and Cole Montoney, Jack Klingbeil and Addiemae Marion Klingbeil. Patricia is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Thelma Emily Zimmerman Moore and Frances Katherine Zimmerman Morgan Hollenbeck and brothers Raymond "Jake" Edward and Calvin Richard Zimmerman. A funeral service to celebrate Patricia's life will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 2 P.M. at Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church 22 North Main St, Mayfield with Rev. David Newkirk officiating. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held from 11 A.M. until time of service at the church. Burial at Union Rural Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Patricia's memory to the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church General Fund 22 North Main St, Mayfield, NY 12117 or to the Mayfield Grange #683, P.O.
