Patrick Joseph Neary
March 29th, 1929 - May 15th, 2012
Patrick J. Neary, 83 of Rotonda West, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was born on March 29, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to William F. and Clara R. (Schmidt) Neary. Patrick Neary served in the US Navy during WW-II obtaining the rank of Quartermaster Third Class. He retired from the US Government with over 30 years of service as a Contracting Officer. Patrick and his wife Mary Angeline moved to Florida in 1996 from Murrysville, PA. He was an integral part of St. Francis of Assisi parish community serving as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Patrick was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Angeline in March 1998. Survivors include his six children: Shawn M. Neary, Susan M. Neary, Patricia M. Latzo, Mary K. Neary Carson, Joseph W. Neary and Andrew P. Neary. One sister: Inez Neary, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Englewood Community Funeral Home, Inc. 3070 S. McCall Rd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 5265 Placida Rd. Grove City at 10:30 AM with Navy Honors to follow.
