Patrick Michael Rooney
April 26th, 1950 - July 17th, 2010
Patrick Rooney, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends. Born April 26, 1950 at Ft. Bragg, NC, he moved to Willow Grove, PA where he graduated from upper Moreland High School. He joined the Marines in 1969 and served in Viet Nam until 1971. In 1980 he moved to Cocoa Beach and remained in this area until his death. Surviving him are his wife of 27 years, Marcia; sons, Christopher (Keila) and Philip (Anne); and three grandchildren he adored. He also leaves behind a daughter, Jeannine. Pat retired in January from ABBCO, as Vice-President after 23 years. He enjoyed coaching the boys soccer and little league teams, boating and traveling with his family and friends, and riding his Harley. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice will be appreciated. A celebration of Pat's life will be held at 11am Saturday, July 24th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach.
