Patsy "P.J" Booker
August 24th, 1985 - April 25th, 2014
Patsy (P. J.) Booker, 28, of Kingsport, went to sing praises to the Lord on Friday (April 25, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She previously worked at Hawkins County Helping Hands. P.J. was a member of Oak Glen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pat Homer; an uncle, James Goodnight. P. J. loved to help anyone and everyone she could and was a true blessing to whom ever came in contact with her. Patsy Booker is survived by her loving husband, David Booker III; a daughter, Angel Lynnea Hawkins; her father, Willie Watts; mother, Pam Homer; brother, Albert Watts and wife, Sara; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rusty and Kawana Barbour; paternal grandparents, James and Janie Harris; maternal grandparents, Al and Birdie Homer, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Samantha Ashworth, Seth Cleek, Jasmine Watts, Albert Watts, Jr., Lillie Watts, Kurtis Hartgrove, Tayah Hartgrove, Isaac Lynch, Levi Lynch, Tahlia Lynch, Landon Barbour, Teagan Barbour; her best friend, Tasha Sisco and her special friend, "Bobby". Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (April 30, 2014) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the residence of the husband or at the residence of the brother. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (April 30, 2014) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Danny Sykes and Willie Watts, officiating. A eulogy will be provided by her husband, David Booker III. Music will be provided by Pam and Albert. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday at 10 am at Bellamy Barbour Cemetery, Church Hill, TN with David Booker III, Albert Watts, Jeremy Shelton, Jamey Shelton, Andrew Lowe, and Rusty Barbour serving as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50a.m. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Booker family.
