Paul Douglas Anderson
June 7th, 1957 - December 2nd, 2012
Goodbye, Paul. Paul Douglas Anderson peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer. He was 55 years old and leaves behind a caring family who will miss him always. Paul was preceded in death by his father Carl Anderson and survived by his mother Eva, his brothers David, Don, and Kevin, his sister Susan, his daughter Megan, his son Michael, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and nephews. Paul was born and raised in Tacoma. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976 and attended Bates Vocational/Technical School where he studied sheet metal fabrication. Following trade school, he worked in the greater Northwest area many years designing and installing commercial HVAC systems—first as an apprentice, later as a journeyman, and finally as a foreman overseeing his own crew. Paul had a quick wit and loved to make people laugh. No matter what the circumstances, he was always ready with a humorous story or joke to share. Paul loved to cook, enjoyed music, and walking his adoring dog Mia on along beach. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gordon Klatt, the wonderful staff at Kindred Care in Lakewood, and Franciscan Hospice for their exceptional care and support. We’ll miss Paul’s sense of humor and good qualities. We also pray that the jokes he tells in heaven are a little cleaner than the ones he told on earth. Rest well Paul, you will be missed. A memorial service will be held after the holidays. The family will further advise of a date when it's determined.
