Byron, GA: Paul F. Bentley, Jr., 81, passed away on Monday August 1, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Christian Hope Congregational Holiness Church. Burial will be private. Pastor Mark Watkins will officiate. Mr. Bentley was born in Roscoe, North Carolina to the late Paul Frank Bentley, Sr. and Erma Hodge Bentley. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was a retired terminal manager with ABF Freight Systems and a member of the Christian Hope Congregational Holiness Church. Mr. Bentley was an avid fisherman and golfer. Survivors include his wife Sharon F. Bentley of Byron, daughter Sherry Jones and husband Jim of Johnson City, TN, son Michael Bentley of Johnson City, TN, stepchildren Jack Williams and wife Terry of Bonaire, Robert Williams and wife Peggy of Warner Robins, Mark Williams and wife Lorri of Demorest, GA Rebecca Plows and husband Ken of Bonaire, Sandy Petitto and husband Wayne of Yorktown, VA, sister Connie Milsap of Johnson City, TN, numerous grand and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christian Hope Congregational Holiness Church @ 1600 Elberta Rd, Warner Robins, GA, 31093 or to the Compassionate Care Hospice @ 4900 Mercer University Dr., Macon, GA, 31210. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
