Paul Albert Cook
May 13th, 1942 - September 29th, 2015
Lexington, Kentucky Paul A. Cook, age 73, left us on September 29, 2015. He was the son of Albert T. Cook and Elsie Frye Cook of Florissant, MO. Paul was a graduate of MSM University in Rolla, MO, a member of the TKE Fraternity; he earned his Masters degree from the University of Vermont. Paul was an internationally recognized Electrical/Electronics Engineer, first with McDonnell-Douglas of St. Louis, MO, with input on fighter jets. Paul continued on to a successful career at IBM and Lexmark, retiring in 2003. Paul is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Cheryl (Cherie) Ogden Cook; three beloved children - daughters Anissa Lee Nelson (James) and Stacia Carroll Cook-McCoy (Mark), and son Brian Paul Cook - as well as much-loved grandsons Gabriel Nelson and Liam Cook. He is also survived by his elder sister, Nancy Borgstede and nephews Tom Lawson and Michael Lawson, Joey Reiss and niece Laura Reiss. Paul also leaves behind his most faithful friends, dogs LadyTyka, FlakeyJake Fo'Paws and Maxwell, as well as cats Molli and Beauregard, who were all rescued and joined the Cook family. He also enjoyed photography, travel, outdoors, and advocacy for animals and seniors. Funeral Information A Celebration of Life will be held at Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville, KY from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, October 5, 2015, followed by a private interment at Lexington Cemetery on Tuesday.
