Paul René Joseph Desrochers, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 25th, 1955, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on July 20th, 2020 in Port Charlotte, Florida. Paul, formerly of Oxford, Michigan, is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marsha (neé: Sage), daughter, Ashley (Michael) Condon, grandchildren, Agnes, Constantine, and Adar, Brother Luçien Desrochers, sister MeMe Desrochers, brothers-in-law Tom (Nancy) Sage and Larry (Sue) Sage, and canine Sandy. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother Cécile Lamothe Desrochers, father, Léo-Paul Desrochers, and sisters, Nicole (Robert) Larose and Céline Desrochers. Having a rough childhood, Paul came to the United States at the age of 11, seeking a better life, later becoming a proud citizen. Paul began his career with General Motors in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, retiring from General Motors Metal Fabricating after 30 years. His love for his family and for helping people led him to become an entrepreneur of many different ventures. Paul loved spending time with family and friends, hunting, boating, and was an avid fisherman who enjoyed helping people. A man taken too soon, he will be missed by all. Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory was selected to handle arrangements. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
