Paul John Diethelm
September 7th, 1931 - December 30th, 2021
Paul John Diethelm, age 90, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Therese of Woodbury. Paul was born on September 7, 1931, in Victoria, MN, to the late Anton and Ida (Wirtz) Diethelm. On April 18, 1959, he was married to Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Quinlan at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Minneapolis. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and worked as a Civil Engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation his entire career. In his free time, he loved to be at the cabin with his family, fish, play bridge, and travel with Lizzie. He is survived by his daughter, Amy (John) Bolduan; son, Anthony “Tony” Diethelm; grandchildren, Luke (Kaela) Bolduan and Emily (Connor) Raabe. Memorial service for Paul will be held on February 4th at 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in North St. Paul, MN, with a time for visitation one hour before.
