Paul Ennis
May 17th, 1933 - November 5th, 2013
SMsgt. Paul Ennis, USAF (Ret.) Paul Ennis of Watkins, Colorado, left his family and friends for his eternal life in Heaven on November 5, 2013 after 80 years with us. Born in Martinsville, Indiana, the son of the late Joe Ennis and Daisy Fishel Ennis, he graduated from Martinsville High School in 1951 and attended Indiana Central Business College. After enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1951, he completed Basic Training at Lackland AFB, Texas, and then was stationed at Larson AFB, Washington, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, and Tokyo, Japan, where he met and married his wife of 56 years, Chizuko Suzuki. Paul and Chizuko, with their growing family, were stationed at Patrick AFB, Buckley ANGB, F.E. Warren AFB, remote tour to Kodiak Naval Air Station, Brooks AFB, Los Angeles AFS, Grenier AFS, Hickam AFB, Minot AFB, Yokota AFB, and Lowry AFB. After 28 years of faithful service to our country Paul retired from the U.S. Air Force and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Denver, Colorado. The best dad, Paul will be remembered for his integrity, tireless work ethic, his love of travel and country music, and tinkering in the garage. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Herman and Sherman, and sister Jesse Ennis Padgett. He is survived by his wife Chizuko Ennis; children Patrick Ennis, David Ennis (Lisa), Steven Ennis (Betty), and Marilyn Nelson; grandchildren Duane Ennis (Lindsey), Jackie Ennis, David Nelson, Mitchell Ennis, and Mia Ennis; great grandson Devan Ennis. Visitation will be at Aspen Mortuaries-Lakewood, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Graveside services will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado, 12:00 noon Tuesday , 12 November 2013
