Paul Charles Flotho

Obituary Paul Charles Flotho, 74, son of Fred and Ellyn Flotho, loving husband of Mary Lewis Flotho, passed away on August 20th, 2018 in Fort Collins, CO. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary whom he met in 1963, and his three daughters Darrah, Alicia and Beth-shan. He is also survived by his beautiful 7 grandchildren: Zarrah, Zeth, Akaelah, Zakeyah, T'Jeem, Lumin, and Paloma. After serving in the Navy from 1961-63, Paul went on to graduate with his degree in art from Chouinard Art Institute in 1968. As "beatniks," Paul and Mary became dissolutioned with society; and, seeking to remove themselves from it, moved to the mountains of northern California where Paul was a timber logger. Their spiritual seeking eventually led them to become born-again believers in Jesus. Paul's passion for Jesus defined his life and all his decision making from then on. After graduating in 1977 with his Masters of Divinity, Paul packed up his family of 5 into a beat-up yellow Toyota truck - complete with a homemade camper - and moved to Mexico City, where Paul began his missionary work. After 4 years living and serving in Mexico, Paul and his family moved to southern Texas from which he continued to travel into Central and South America to minister, and later to many countries in South East Asia. During this time, Paul also taught itinerantly in various churches throughout the United States and wrote books in both Spanish and English. He eventually pastored the North Bay Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Vallejo, CA for a period of 10 years. He will be greatly missed by 100s of friends, those he ministered to, his many colleagues in the faith and most especially by his devoted family who are rejoicing in the fact that he is now truly home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church in Fort Collins, CO at 9am, with the internment to follow at Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver at 1pm.
