Paul "Tony" Anthony Harris

Southern Rock guitarist Paul Anthony “Tony” Harris was best known for his signature guitar style in the Northern Virginia area. A gifted musician and guitarist, Tony was founder/lead singer/guitar player for “Lowdoun County”. He loved music of all styles. Country, Southern Rock, Blues, R&B, Classic Rock all the way to the soulful Etta James. He’s played with some of the best in the music industry. To name a few are Pat Travers, Leslie West, Marshall Tucker, Outlaws, Stet Howland and the list goes on. Though he ventured out to play with other musicians through the years his first love was always Lowdown County. He was also a gifted mechanic by trade. Tony loved his children dearly and they were his heart!! His family, friends and musical family meant everything to him!! We can’t forget his comedic side which was one of a kind. His love for life and his music will live on… Tony was born 1 November 1968, Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Virginia, to the parents of James Arnold Harris, Sr. and Paula Louise (Helms) Harris. He is survived by one brother, James Arnold Harris, Jr and Kim Mundis of Bristow, Virginia, his wife Teresa Lynn (Carter) Harris of Inwood, West Virginia, daughters, Jessica Lynn Carter and David Gray of Berryville, Virginia, Tiffany Renee Harris and William Hardesty of Bluemont, Virginia, Brandi Leigh Harris of Inwood, West Virginia, Tyler Nicole Harris of Inwood, West Virginia, Shaina Rae Harris of Orleans, Virginia, Kendra Elizabeth Carter of Inwood, West Virginia, and one son, Paul Anthony Harris, Jr of Inwood, West Virginia. He is also survived by one niece, Cassidy James Harris and Jesse Decker, grandchildren Kadyen Michael Harris Carter, Ryan Douglas Gray, Terrence Zachary Carter, Trinity Ashlynn-Leighanne Carter, Tristin David Anthony Carter and Gavin Mason Harris and girlfriend Toni Michele (Fabian) Ault. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Earnest Edward Harris and Zella Madgalene (Coxton) Harris, also Maternal grandparents, Edgar Glenn Helms and Rita Alice (Linton) Helms. Pallbearers: Jerry Harris, Ricky Johnson, Burt Miller, Todd Helms, Daniel Dasher and William Hardesty. His funeral service will be held at Advent Funeral Home, 7211 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, Virginia 22046 on Saturday, February 7th from 10:00 am – 12 noon. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm National Memorial Park Cemetery, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, Virginia 22046, following his services.
