Paul W. Snyder

Snyder, Paul W. 78, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Bay Pines VA Health Care System. Born in Girardville, PA, he came here in 2000 from Barstow, CA. He earned his Masters from Florida State University, and his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Florida. He was a United States Army Air Corps veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by father, Howard Snyder and his mother, Ruth Snyder nee Simpson. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Rivers, and her three children, Julia, Sophia, and Josephine; a grandson Zack; and his companion of 10 years, Dolores Ann Shannon; a sister-in-law, Jean Snyder; a nephew Duke Snyder; and a niece, Sue Bryzenski. There will be a memorial service at the Bay Pines Hospice Chapel on Friday, Jan. 21st at 2:00 PM.
