Online Obituaries for Lexington and Nicholasville, KY Paula Jean Dunn, 58, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. She loved writing poetry and stories, hoping to one day publish a childrens book about coping with cancer. Retired from UK after 29 years as the Graduate Family Housing Manager, Paula enjoyed dancing and karaoke, dragonflies, and the outdoors. She enjoyed studying black history and promoting equality for all, always treating everyone with love and kindness, she had friends all over the world. Lexington wont be the same without her. In addition to her significant other, Paul Green, she is survived by her mother, Nora Betty Hill, Lexington; children, Tara (Michael) Cassidy, Nicholasville, Shanel Dunn, Nicholasville, and David (Susan) Prather, Stanford; sisters, Mary Ann Smith, Lexington, and Peggy Jones, Lexington; brother, David (Lori) Haase, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dennis Anthony, David Michael Prather, Addison Cassidy, and Carter Cassidy; as well as several special nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Information A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 3:00p-6:00p Friday, September 15, 2017 with a service to follow at 6:00p.
