Paula Jean Irvin of Rockledge, Florida was born in a Blytheville, Arkansas hospital,December 12,1947, even though her family lived in Pascola, Missouri. That was the closest hospital. Paula's family lived in Missouri until she was 4 years old. For the next seven years her family lived in Gary, Indiana. In 1958 the family moved to Orlando, Florida. Her family lived there until 1964. Family moved to Chalmette, Louisiana. Paula graduated from Chalmette High School in 1965. She worked for Traveler's Insurance for a year. In 1966 she attended Southeastern Louisiana University for a year. She moved back to Florida. This time Merritt Island. She got a job as an operator at the phone company and worked there until she retired as an Engineering Clerk. Paula Jean Irvin was a loving sister who cherished her family (including her dog) and her friends. She was strong-willed, organized, and loved to travel. (places like the Grand Canyon, the beautiful Tetons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Paris, France, London, England, and Mullens, West Virginia.) Paula was a dog lover and an avid fan of Elvis Presley. So much a fan that she named her Schnoodle Presley. She has had Medical problems for the last eight years. She fought a hard battle. We will miss Paula's courage when she was so sick, her keen spirit for life, her acts of kindness, and especially, her warm smile. Although she is away from us in body; memories of Paula Jean will remain in our hearts. Contributions may be made to Humane Society, Ascension Catholic Church, St. Jude Hospital or Daily Bread.
