Paula Raikkonen
Raikkonen, Paula A. 76, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Fairhaven, Ma., passed away peacefully on December 19, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with heart disease. She was the loving wife of John O. Raikkonen for 57 years. Born in Pescara, Italy she was the daughter of Pierino and Lilia Barboni. She and her husband were the former owners of The Pasta House restaurant in Fairhaven, Ma. For 22 years. She was a fine artist, avid gardener, master chef and true Christian. Survivors include one son John C Raikkonen of Central, SC., two daughters, Laila P. Sullivan and her husband Richard of N. Dartmouth, Ma., Claudia E. Postell and her husband Marty of Summerville, SC. One sister Tina Borelli of NJ and two late brothers, Joseph Barboni and Roberto Baroni. Five grandchildren, Parker Vigeant, Savannah Vigeant, Sophie Vigeant, Cody Postell and Brycen Postell and one great grandchildren, Oakland McGill. As well as many special relatives from around the globe. There will be a visitation Wednesday December 23 from 3-4pm and a service from 4-5pm. Arrangements are by Simplicity Funeral Home, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, North Charleston, SC 29418.
