Paula was a good family friend. She and my mom were very close and I benefited directly from their friendship. She stood by my mom through her toughest times and never failed to check in on me too. I will remember her cooking, her dogs, her sense of humor and her laugh. She taught me to appreciate big purses (she called them her saddlebags) and good jewelry (I won't ever forget her beautiful jade ring). My heart is full knowing she is with Rex and mom (surely they are both cracking themselves up right now). My love goes out to her family and friends.

I was blessed that my parents had such a great sense of humor. Paula could be so funny. She loved my dad fiercely, she was so lonely when he died. I know they are happy together in heaven. We had a scrabble game going all the time. We all loved the coast, our favorite place to go. (note to Joell, I think Paula had planned to leave your mom the Jade ring if she were living.)I am so sorry about the loss of your mom, Paula took it pretty hard, it was awesome that they were life long friends.
