Pauline Teckler

Pauline Teckler 99 of St. Petersburg, formerly of Syracuse NY passed away October 5, 2013. She was born in Vilna, Poland on February 9, 1914 and came to America at the age of 2. Her family first lived in Utica before moving to Syracuse. She was a graduate of Central High School and a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. For many years Pauline was a well respected Real Estate Agent for Menter Real Estate. She moved to Florida in 2000 and resided in Menorah Manor Nursing Home from 2002 until her death. She was a very popular resident of the home and was elected Resident Council President for seven and a half years. She loved reading, music, and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Fannie Kaplan; husband, Morris; daughter, Joan; sister Sarah Lieberman; and brother, Ben Kaplan. Family was precious to her and she leaves behind to treasure her memory her daughter, Sharon (Arthur) Schloss of FL; and her granddaughter, Amy (Jeff) Pressman of CT; and grandson, Marc (Jorie) Schloss of Washington, DC; and her three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob Pressman and Rory Schloss; her sister, Betty Goldstein of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. Pauline was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and aunt who left a legacy of love, compassion, humor and wisdom. Graveside services and burial will be conducted 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Adath Yeshurun Cemetery, Syracuse. Shiva will take place in CT.
