"South Hadley, Pauline C. (Kane) Tonelli, 90, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 17. Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 10, 1921, she was the daughter of William E. and Anna (Kelly) Kane. Pauline was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1939. She resided in Holyoke for many years before relocating to South Hadley in 1994. She worked for many years as a telephone operator for the Chicopee and Holyoke Telephone Companies and retired from Daniel J. O'Connell Construction Co. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and member of the South Hadley Senior Center. Pauline was an award winning drummer in her youth, and with her husband Raymond, enjoyed square dancing and traveling throughout Europe. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, Raymond, her two sons, David and his partner Dennis Paiva of Dedham, MA and Paul and his wife Kathleen Tonelli of Easthampton along with her two granddaughters, Shannon and Alexandra Tonelli and sister-in-law, Emilia (Tonelli) DeMontigny of South Hadley. Friends and family are invited to gather for visiting hours on Friday, July 20 from 4-7pm. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, July 21 at 9:00 a.m. from Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Burial Will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association P.O.
