Pauline M. Wagner
February 2nd, 1942 - October 6th, 2009
Mrs. Pauline M. "Polly" Wagner, of Staley Road, Palatine Bridge, was carried by angels to heaven on October 6, 2009 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. She was 67. A lifelong area resident, Polly was born on February 2, 1942 the daughter of Paul Bouck and Ida Mae Bellinger Istle. She was a 1960 graduate of Canajoharie High School and was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed reading mysteries, crocheting and doing fill-ins. Above all she loved her family and just being a "Mom." Her home was always a center for activities and celebrations. She cared for many children, and loved them dearly, just as her own. She will be sadly missed by all she touched. Survivors include her husband, Vernon W. Wagner, whom she married on June 8, 1963; her children, Paul Wagner and his wife Shelly of Fort Plain and Holly Kane and her husband Richard of Fort Plain; her parents, Ida Mae Istle and her husband Anthony of Ames and Paul Bouck and his wife Marian of Fort Plain; two brothers, David Bouck and his wife Shirley of Fort Plain and Russell Bouck of Schenectady. "NaNe" is also survived by three grandchildren, Meagan and Ryan Kane and Neal Wagner; two step grandchildren, Samantha and Joey Lohmeyer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Polly was predeceased by a grandson Paul Wagner, Jr., her sister Doris Bouck and two brothers, Ronald and Leland Bouck. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 11 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with the Rev. Nancy Ryan presiding. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sandflats, Fonda. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 2 o'clock to celebrate her life; relatives and friends are invited and may call from 2 until 5 Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a special educational fund for her grandchildren in care of the funeral home office.
