Peggy Ann Colley

Kingsport - Peggy Ann Colley, 71, went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2014 at Wexford House. A native of Buchanan County, VA she was a daughter of the late Garland and Dolly Colley. She attended Grundy High School, Grundy, VA. The family moved to Bristol, TN in 1973. Peggy worked as a volunteer at Bristol Regional Medical Center for several years. She moved to Kingsport in 2000. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend. She had great faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Colley; sister, Barbara Colley Dixon; nephew, Gregory Lester. She is survived by two sisters, Janie (Sam) Yates of Kingsport and Sandra (Mike) Anderson of Richmond, VA; brother, Jeffrey (Marji) Colley of Bristol, TN; nieces, Kimberly (Jimmie) Taylor and Dana (Chris) Boyd; nephews, Jason Lester and Bryan Colley; along with several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at Wexford House for their excellent, loving care of Peggy. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will be held at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Wayne Fortner officiating. A private burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Abingdon, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons Foundation, East Camp, PO Box 3217, Kingsport, TN 37664 or a charity of choice. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Colley family.
