Peggy C Harrell

Peggy Carter Ray Harrell 86 years of Charleston, SC (formerly of Georgetown County), entered into eternal rest September 22, 2018. Mrs. Harrell was married to Harvey Oscar Harrell these past 42 years, and is preceded in death by her granddaughter Jordan Lynn Ray Powers, of Murrells Inlet, SC, her grandson Guy Wesley Daniels, of Surfside Beach, SC and her son Walter LaBruce Ray, of Darian, GA. Mrs. Harrell attended Pleasant Hill High school and Limestone College. Mrs. Harrell retired from Santee Cooper Electric Cooperative, SC and was an accomplished seamstress and avid gardener; was very active in her volunteer work. Mrs. Harrell is preceded in death by her parents-John Benson Carter and Alice Olive Wesley Carter of Georgetown County- she was the eldest daughter of 9 children. Peggy was married to Walter Kenton Ray (deceased) and had six children from this marriage. Four (4) daughters and two (2) sons: Rhonda Ray Daniels (Jim) of Surfside Beach, SC-Shasta Ray Powers (Wendell) of Murrells Inlet, SC,- Walter LaBruce Ray, of Darian, Ga. (Deceased)-Benson E. Ray, of Hemingway, SC,-Narda Ray-Hentges of Charleston, SC, and Kenna Ray Kornberg (Len)- Mrs. Harrell’s eight (8) grandchildren include Jourdan L. Ray-Powers (deceased) Guy Wesley Daniels (deceased) Nicholas Wenn Ray-Powers-Gilbert, SC (Mattie) Eric James Daniels, Surfside Beach-Jasmin L.
