Peggy Gail Kennedy

Peggy Gail (nee Hudson) Kennedy peacefully passed surrounded by her children and husband of 57 years on December 12, 2021 after battling several illnesses. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama and raised in Buffalo. She married the love of her life Joseph VP (Buzz) Kennedy 57 years ago, and had six children. She is survived by her husband; her children, Meghan Kennedy Riordan (Michael), Timothy Kennedy (Ginger), Molly Kennedy, Kate Kennedy Swaby, Kellie Kennedy Brunson (William); ten loving grandchildren, Jeremiah, Madison, Molly, Quinlan, Aidan, Morgan, Fiona, Torin, Dylan, and Connor. Peggy is survived by her sister and brothers, Gordan Hudson (Peggy), Della (Hudson) Fuller (Mike), Jack Hudson (Gay) and Kenneth Zimmerman (Mona). Mrs. Kennedy is predeceased by her beloved daughter Erin Kennedy, grandson Joey, and her cherished brother Larry Hudson. Peggy served as the Director of Human Resources at the Michigan Metro Girl Scout Council. Her move to Hilton Head Island, SC in 2000 led to her 19 year tenure at Hilton Head Preparatory School, from which she retired in 2019. She fiercely loved her family and was kind, generous and selfless to a fault. Her Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2 pm at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island, SC. A reception will be held in the Family Center immediately following Mass.
