Peggy Routh Mitchell, 91, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, in Lexington, Ky. Peggy was born on March 26, 1932, in Lexington. Peggy worked for the state of Kentucky as an accountant for many years. She was a charter member of Highland Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Mitchell, parents, Katherine and Eugene Wilkerson, and sister, Betty Campbell. Peggy is survived by her daughter; Kathy (Michael) Hartley of Frankfort, sister; Kay Apollos of Lexington, Grandchild; James Michael (Tonya) Hartley and great grandchildren; Katelyn and Emily Hartley of Frankfort. A graveside service will be held in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 2pm with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.
