Peggy "Lolly" Jane Sims
May 18th, 1932 - June 7th, 2018
Mrs. Peggy Jane “Lolly” Sims, age 86 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her daughter’s home with family. Mrs. Sims was born May 18, 1932 in Lakeland, Florida to James Madison and Onita Catherine (Combee) Carroll. She was a lifetime Polk County resident, retired from the citrus industry and attended the Highlands City Free Will Baptist Church. Lolly enjoyed church, computer games, shopping and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years – L.C. Sims, Jr.; daughter – Shirl Merle Mills; brothers – James Oliver Carroll, Alfred Carroll and Ronnie Carroll; sisters – Sarah Dekle, Cosette Darley, Neta Genice Carroll, Annette Hutchinson and Narcissi Carroll; grandson – Jeffrey Ray Mills and son-in-law – Alan Morris. Lolly is survived by her loving & devoted family; Son: John Ray Sims of FL. 2 daughters: Diann Morris of Winter Haven, Amber Sims of Auburndale, Brother: Jimmy (Mona) Carroll of Polk City, Son-in-Law: James Mills of Mulberry, 4 Grandsons: Ricky Mills of Mulberry, John (Jenny) Fike of Auburndale, Austin Sims of Winter Haven, Tyler (Elizabeth) Hough of Bartow, 6 Granddaughters: Melissa (Greg) Thompson of Auburndale, DeDe Dowdy of Auburndale,Kim (Rusty) O’Neal of Mulberry, Whitney Sims of Winter Haven,Autumn Sims of Auburndale, Taylor Hough of Clermont.14 Great Grandchildren: Kristy, Darinda, CJ, Dillian, Macey, Gracey, Hunter, Baylee, Hagan, Rahlee, Hanna, Taylor, Hagan, Connor, Aleigha & Eliza,4 Gt Gt. Grandchildren: Kimber, Blake, Rylin & Dillan, Jr.,Her best friend – Wanda O’Neal and fur baby – Penny Sims.
