Peggy Jean Ward-Smart 92 of Nampa, Idaho, Passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 01, 2023. Peggy was born on March 5th 1931 in Perryton Texas. To Ivan and Berdine Lovett. Peggy met and fell in love with Clyde Ward to which she later married on July 20th, 1947. Peggy was blessed with 5 boys by her early 30’s. Peggy and Clyde finally settled in Idaho in 1951 to raise her family. Peggy enjoyed various things such as canning, sewing, camping and fishing with her husband and boys. Peggy had a love for painting. Learning to paint on saw blades became one of her greater hobbies. Peggy was a member of the Elks Lodge in Nampa Idaho for many years where her and Clyde would spend their extra time in the evenings dancing the night away. Peggy enjoyed having friends and Family over to play cards and cribbage on the weekends. After the Passing of Clyde in 1999. Peggy’s Passion of sewing become her steady employment as a Seamstress, for various business and individuals in the surrounding area. Peggy later met and married Fred Smart in August of 2006. Peggy and Fred spent their later years of life living in Nampa, Idaho and enjoying the company of each other and their families. Peggy is survived by her sons, Douglas & wife Stacy Ward of Sandhollow, Idaho Chet & wife Chris Ward of Cascade, Idaho and Delbert & wife Regina of Anchorage, Alaska. Her sisters Ivanell and Joylynn.13 grandkids and their spouses Stephaine Ray Jennifer Bobo Brenda Stolle Chrystal Ward and Dustin Ward James PiepKorn. Russell Ward and Rick Ward. Christopher Ward, Martin Ward and Cecila Ward. Justin Ward and Kimberly Ward. 22 great grandkids and 12 great great grandchildren, Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Peggy was preceded in death by her Parents Ivan and Berdine Lovett. Brother Laurel Lovett. Her lifelong partner and father of her boys, Clyde Ward. 2 sons Raymond And Michael Ward. Her late husband Fred Smart. And one great grandson Charles Wittell. Peggy touched the hearts of everyone she met. and will be greatly missed by all… There will be graveside services for Peggy Ward-Smart at Canyon Hill Cemetery at a later date.
