September 11th, 1944 - February 1st, 2022
Penny Alice Claybourne (Dando), 77, of Wyoming, Minnesota passed away on February 1st. She was born September 11th, 1944 in Macon, Georgia. In 1967, she married Philip Claybourne in St. Paul, Minnesota. As a teen, she helped young women learn to navigate the terrain of the Boundry Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) for Camp Widjiwagan. In her professional life, she was particularly rewarded by her time with De Le Salle High School and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Mrs. Claybourne graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1975. Mrs. Claybourne is survived by her husband, Philip; her Daughter, Annie Doyscher; her Son-in-Law, Steve Doyscher; her cherished Grandchildren, Zachary and Grace Doyscher; her sisters-in law, Marcia Arasz (Walt Kruger), and Penny Dando.Preceded in death are her father, Harry Bruce Dando; her mother, Esther Dando; and her brother, John Dando. She was a true lover of Minnesota, often visiting the Gunflint Trail and the BWCA with her Husband, Philip. Wherever they visited, they savored taking in new experiences and making new friends along the way. She will be dearly missed.
