He followed his beloved wife of 50 years Peggy by 4 months. Perry, or Pete, was born in Hibbing, Minnesota April 3, 1943. His first 13 years of life were spent traveling through the northern parts of the US due to his Fathers job.The family moved almost yearly, living primarily in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota. In 1956 his father got a job with Minnesota Power and Light and they settled near Aurora, Minnesota. He attended high school at Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High, where he graduated in 1961. Perry attended electrical engineering college at Northwestern Television and Electronics School and completed his AA in 1963. After graduating he was recruited by Sperry Flight Systems in Phoenix, Az. Three days after arriving in Phoenix, Perry met Peggy while cruising Central. They were married three years later. In August of 1968, Perry and Peggy welcomed their baby girl, Kimberly into the world. Five years later, Todd, their son was born. Perry worked for Sperry, now Honeywell, for 35 years. He attended ASU night school to get his BS in Business. Throughout his career he oversaw large projects like Iridium, the mobile phone satellite network. Perry was very handy, always building or fixing something. He homebuilt a box for the then-new cable TV. He designed and built two of his families houses, a cabin, and his parents retirement home. Many friends and family members benefitted from his abilities and skills. Perry loved to travel. He had been across the US, Europe, Russia and Mexico. He had planned a cruise to Alaska with family but was unable to go when he fell ill. Pete and Peggy lived on the West side of the Valley their entire marriage, spending their time with family and friends entertaining. They loved their grandchildren beyond belief, always making time for them. He will be missed very much. Family and close friends will be having a celebration of like in October.
