Persida "Persis" Collazo
April 13th, 1919 - February 26th, 2018
Mrs. Persida (Persis) Collazo, 98 of St. Petersburg went to be with her Lord and Saviour Monday 2-26-18. She was born 4-13-19 in Ponce, P.R. to Rev. Juan L Lugo and Isabel Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Antonio Collazo, her parents, her two brothers, Benjamin Lugo and John L. Lugo Jr. and two of her sisters, Elizabeth Alicea and Abigail Hita. She is survived by her five children Ligia Douglas (Gene), Juan A. Collazo, Persida Pagan (Ruben), Raquel Collazo, and Rebecca Ramos; sister, Hulda Escanio (Ismael). Also survived by 9 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, March 2, 2018 at David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Praise Cathedral, 4371 76th Avenue North, Pinellas Park. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers donations to: Universidad Teológica del Caribe P. O. Box 901 Saint Just, Puerto Rico 00978-0901 (787)761-0640 David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family.
