My Life Story Peter Nicholas Forbini, 81, passed away on February 18, 2018 in Boise, ID. Pete was born on September 21, 1936 in Renovo, Pennsylvania. Pete grew up in Renovo. He graduated from St. Josephs High School in 1953. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard during the latter years of the Korean Conflict, performing sea rescue and recovery duties. After his military service, Pete attended Gannon University in Erie, PA where he received a Bachelor's degree in accounting. He began working for Price Waterhouse in Cleveland, OH as an accountant and worked there for 11 years, during this time he earned his CPA and became senior manager. He was then hired by Morrison Knudsen, relocating to Boise in 1973 and continuing his career until retiring in 1998. Pete married Patricia in Erie, PA in 1962. They were happily married for 55 years until his passing. Pete was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. He particularly enjoyed the traditional Latin Mass. He had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother. Pete was an avid runner, completing 8 marathons and even ran 50 miles on this 50th birthday! He enjoyed hunting and fly fishing. Pete and Pat also collected antique waterfowl decoys and started Whistle Wing Waterfowling Association. Since 1985 Pete and Pat had a dream of living on a river front property in Oregon. After retiring they made this dream a reality and had an enjoyable retirement living in a home they built on a beautiful property on the Willamette River. Pete is lovingly survived by his spouse, Pat, of Meridian, ID, his sons: Philip and Thomas (Rachel), and daughter, Andrea (Eric); and his grandchildren: Halle, Lili, Owen and Hudson. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Road, Meridian. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. It was Pete's wish that burial take place at St. Thomas Becket's Cemetery in Veneta, OR. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Pete was always greatly admired for this willpower, dedication and strong work ethic. Pete will lovingly be remembered as a fiercely honest and moral man, and above all, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lupus Research Alliance (www.lupusresearch) or Autism Speaks (autismspeaks.org). We Entrusted Peter Forbini's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
