Peter Joseph Lydon III

September 10th, 1950 - January 28th, 2024

Peter Joseph Lydon III, 73 from Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Pete was born September 10, 1950 to Pete and Dorothy Lydon in Long Island City, New York. Pete graduated in the class of 1968 from Commack High School and then earned his Associate in Science degree from Sullivan County Community College before being drafted into the U.S Army, in which he served proudly for two years. Soon after, he moved to Colorado Springs, and lived there ever since. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Peter Joseph Lydon II, his mother, Dorothy Allen Lydon, brothers Christopher and Charles, sisters Kathryn and Louise, and nephews Charles and Michael Jordan. Pete is survived by his son Peter Lydon IV, Peter’s mother Lorelei, granddaughter Reagan, sister Noreen Jordan (Charles), nephews Jonathan Jordan (Caren) and Joseph Minkwitz, niece Kristy Croutwater (Ryan), great nephews Owen and Arron Jordan, and many, many friends, all of whom will miss Pete dearly. For those wishing to show their respects there will be a military service at Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs on Thursday February 22, 2024 at 12 noon, followed by a celebration of life at Patty Jewett Bar & Grill. There will also be another celebration of life in Melbourne Beach, Florida, where Pete’s wishes to have his ashes spread on the beach near his sister’s home will be honored, at a later date, with information for that to follow.
