Peter Armando Melendez

Peter Melendez of Tampa, FL passed away at age 64 on August 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. Pete was a strong warrior who fought a valiant, four-month battle with a rare and aggressive blood cancer. Pete served his country with pride as an Airborne Army Ranger. He was a third-degree black belt Tae Kwon Do fighter and instructor who loved teaching the art. Pete worked in the Pest Control industry for the last 23 years. Pete’s greatest joys were spending quality time with his family, working in his garden and watching the Bucs games. His friends will tell you that he was thoughtful, kind, generous, and fun to be around. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tampa. Pete will be greatly missed and remembered always by all of his family and friends, and forever loved by his wife of 27 years, Michelle, daughters Emily, Heather, Aileen, Shiloh and son Daniel, five grandchildren Ethan, Mia, Leonie, Thomas, Kiya and one great-grandchild Thomas. Pete requested that a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to a traditional funeral service.
