Peter Mich

Peter J. Mich, 84, of Englewood, FL passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011. He was born on February 5, 1927 in Lawrence, MA to Peter P. and Helen (Yjenski) Mich. Peter moved to Englewood in 1991 from Meriden, CT. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW-II. Mr. Mich retired as an Electrical Engineer from Standard Knapp. He attended the Community Presbyterian Church in Englewood. Peter was a member of the American Legion, Past President of the Edgewater Club and an active member of the Edgewater Men's Club. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. Survivors include his loving companion of 11 years: Gladys Mate; his three children: David (Nancy) Mich of Meriden, CT; Russell Mich of Guilford, CT; Brenda Paradis of Limestone, ME; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. Mich was predeceased by his wife Louise in November 2000. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 10 Am until service time at 11 Am at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, Inc. 3070 S. McCall Rd. Navy honors will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
