Peter Quentin Zeiler
October 16th, 1967 - October 7th, 2022
Peter Quentin Zeiler, 54, of Charlotte, passed away October 7, 2022. Born October 16, 1967 in Celina, Ohio, he was the son of Joan Zeiler. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Bhavna Gvalani, and their daughter, Lylah; mother, Joan Zeiler; sister, Mary Zeiler; sister, Lorelei Zeiler, and husband, Bruce Greenberg; brother, Walter Zeiler, and wife, Bernice; brother, David Zeiler, and wife, Julie; mother-in-law, Maya Gvalani; and many loving nieces and nephews. Peter reveled in the happiness he found with his wife Bhavna and their lovely daughter, Lylah. He grew up in a sprawling, loving family and paid that love forward by being a profound influence on the lives of his adored nieces and nephews. He collected life long friends where ever he went with his optimism and wit. Peter’s belief in righting the wrongs of this world led him to a successful career in local government as the Director of Economic Development for Mecklenburg County. He began his career in his beloved “home town” of Detroit, MI, before moving on to Charlotte, NC, Austin, TX and finally to Mecklenburg County, NC. Wherever he went, he helped build the vibrant infrastructure of cities that gave millions of people the opportunity to provide for their families. He was a true polymath, with an unparalleled knowledge of music, the Detroit Red Wings, Formula 1, and automobiles. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on October 13, 2022 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, 28203.
