Peyton "Ted" Jr.

Theodore W. Peyton Jr. (Ted), age 81, passed away at his home in Nederland Colorado January 12, 2017. Ted was born in Seattle, Washington in 1935. He attended school in Boulder, Colorado and graduated from Boulder High school in 1953. He went on to the University of Colorado where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1957. He went into the Army and became an officer with the Corp of Engineers, obtaining a rank of Captain before getting an Honorable discharge in 1960. Ted went on to get a job at Westinghouse in Columbus, Ohio as a computer programmer back when computers were basically just starting to be part of big businesses. Eventually, he moved back to Colorado to be closer to family. He continued in the computer field and soon started his own consulting business helping small companies setup their computer and programming needs. Living in Westminster, Colorado he bought a small cabin in Nederland as a weekend getaway place to relax and enjoy the mountains. In his spare time, he loved to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and travel. His main hobby interest was collecting and listening to old-time radio programs. He retired in 1996 and moved to the cabin full time where his main source of entertainment was listening to his old-time radio collection and watching old movies. Ted is survived by his brother Thomas living in Colorado and cousins Linda and Kaye in Washington state. Ted is preceded in death by his parents, father Theodore Sr. and mother Lucille. He will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a private ceremony. Funeral arrangements are being made by All-State Cremation Services. His brother Thomas Peyton would like to thank all who have given their condolences and prayers to the family.
