Philip Evans

EVANS, Philip Richard, 85, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Florida in 1971. Philip served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Throughout his careers, he was a computer specialist and manager. Philip was Catholic by faith and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, traveler, good dancer, and a family man- always putting his family first. Philip loved Notre Dame and the Miami Dolphins. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to put a smile on everyone’s face. Philip is preceded in death by his son, Philip Mark; and his three brothers, Ray, Artie, and Walter. He is survived by his loving wife, of 64 years, Mary; two sons, Steve, and Paul (Christa); three daughters, Rose (Ed), Tina (Jim), and Carol (Steve); eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Military honors will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Philip’s memory to the American Heart Association.
