Philip Hunt Johnson

Philip Hunt Johnson, (Buzzy), went home to be with our Lord on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born on June 4, 1937 to John Bahe Johnson of Indian Wells, AZ and Josephine Hunt of Acoma, NM. Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Johnson; and his sister, Thelma Velez. He is survived by his sons, Michael Johnson and wife Charlene, son Chris and grandson Hunter, Frank Nunn and wife Lucy; and children, Valentina and Abraham, Bryan Nunn; and fiancé, LaiLonnie Garcia; and children, Andre, David and Julia; his daughters, Roxanne and Janet; and his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Phil is also survived by his brothers, Johnny Johnson and wife Nancy, Gary Johnson and wife Gloria. Phil touched the lives of everyone he met and he considered ALL his family. He loved to have a house full of love, laughter and music and with all his nieces, nephews and extended family, love was never in short supply. A viewing for Phil will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 PM with a celebration of his life to follow at 2:00 PM all at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have you make a donation to the charity of your choice. After the service has been completed, we will be releasing balloons in Phil's honor. If you wish to bring some helium balloons for this please make them blue and white. Phil had a loving heart and a caring nature and he will be missed by all.
