PHILIP JOSEPH SEADER, SR Just 2 days shy of his 87th birthday, our beloved husband, father, and Pop entered Heaven on Dec 7, 2013. He was instantly greeted by a choir of millions and millions of innocent unborn babies, and his little sister Margie! His humongous, generous heart stopped beating after a last, long earthly kiss for his adored Helen, his wife of 60 years. Phil was born in Jersey City to Walter and Marguerite Seader, the 3rd of 7 children. After serving his country for 3yrs in the Navy during WWII, he moved to Washington, DC to attend The Catholic University of America to study architecture. He then met a graduate student from Cincinnati, Helen Cannon, in a sailing club. And his adventures never ended! Marriage, kids, graduation (class of 1955), more kids, relocating to Tucson in 1959, and more kids. Phil worked as an architect at numerous prominent architecture firms, and ended his career as the City of Tucson Plans Examiner at the age of 75. Phil is survived by Helen, and his nine children, Philip, Alexis, Ruth (Mark)Peterson, MaryBeth (Bernie) Style, Carol, Greg, Andrea (Mike) Sanders, Michael (Margaret), and Donna (Stan) Spackeen. His most treasured gifts were his grandchildren, Danielle, Chad, Jennifer, Lauren, Dustin, Ashley, Joey, Caitlyn, Kallan, Alyssa, Matthew, our angel Sophia, Mary Grace, Elizabeth, Brett, and Catherine, and his great-grandson Ethan. He is also survived by Cheryl, Tom (Toki) Seader, Frances Romano, and Helen (Jack) Hendrix, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Adler and Dr. Desai for their care in giving our Dad so many extra years to love us. Also, many thanks to Hector, The Gatekeepers, and TMC Hospice for Gloria, Yo, and Donovan, and all others for making his last days very peaceful and happy. The smiles and winks he gave are the best lasting memories for all of us. That, and his constant Hail Marys to Our Blessed Mother. When Phil was ever asked what he wanted he always replied "a kind word." Services will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 S Craycroft Rd. Visitation Friday, December 13, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 with the Rosary being recited at 7:00. Mass will be Saturday, December 14, at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations locally to Reachout, Fatima, Merilac Lodge, Beacon Foundation, and St Vincent de Paul, or any Wounded Warrior Project. "P.S. I don't have a legitimate reason for this P.S. by some people's standards, but by our special ones I think I do. It's another opportunity to say I love you and I'm yours. All my love, Phil" Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. bringfuneralhome.com
