Philip Bruce Strain, 58, of St. Petersburg, Florida, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 18, 2010. He was a native and life long resident of St. Petersburg and was a graduate of Boca Ciega High School where he was drum major in the band. He loved cars and had a dream of restoring collectible cars until he became blind. He considered Azalea Baptist Church his church home. He is survived by 1 sister, Fay (John) MacBeth of Alpharetta, GA; 1 brother, Randall (Sally) Strain of Tampa; and a sister-in-law, Coleen Strain of Greensboro, NC. He was predeceased by his mother, Johnnie Holmes Strain; his father, James Roland Strain; and his brother, James Ronald "Bud" Strain. Friends may call 12:30 to service time at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Azalea Baptist Church with Rev. Ron L. Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
