August 19th, 1947 - February 20th, 2017
In loving memory of Phillip 'Phil' M. Abernathy, 69, of Arvada passed away unexpectly Feb. 20, 2017. He was born in Granite City IL on Aug. 19, 1947 and moved to Arvada, CO in 1979 where he came to work at the Coors Brewery Company, a long time and proud employee, 38 yrs as an industrial machinist. He was a proud husband, father and grandfather and will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Nora of 49 yrs. His children Lanny (Marsell), Jeff (Mandy), Doug and Stephanie (Lee). His 6 grandchildren Shane, Trevor, Jocelyn, Alivia, Ava and Aaliyah. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother. A funeral service will be held Friday, 3:00 pm at the Aspen Arvada Chapel, 6370 Union. Viewing 1 hr prior to service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
