Phillip P. Garcia

Phillip P. Garcia, aged 45, of Santa Fe, NM died on March 3rd, 2021 of natural causes. He was born on April 5th, 1975 in Santa Fe, NM, to Yolanda F. Garcia and Nelson Garcia. He attended Santa Fe High School and graduated in 1993. At a young age he was a body builder and won the title Mr. Junior New Mexico straight out of high school. He was a man of many talents and pursued multiple fields of work. Although he could pick up any job and be successful at it, his passion was weight lifting. His life was the gym. No matter what gym he made his way into in Santa Fe, almost everyone knew who he was, and he was proud of it. He had a big heart and would befriend everybody and anybody, and when asked if you knew who he was, they would say "Big Phil?". Besides family and friends, his heart belonged to the gym. Phillip was not a member of any specific church, but he loved the Lord and he knew that whenever he left this Earth he was going to heaven. He got saved as a Christian on May 16th, 2020 and that gave him so much peace. He constantly prayed and read the bible, and he knew that someday he would reunite with his beloved mother, Yolanda, in heaven. Phillip Garcia is preceded in death by his parents Yolanda F. Garcia and Nelson Garcia. He is survived by his brother Justin Garcia; his sister Pamala Ramirez; daughter Jasmin Garcia; and his two sons Ezekiel Garcia and Zachary Garcia. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 19th, 2021 at 10:00am at Ascent Bible Church in Santa Fe, NM. There will be limited seating, but if you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to stream the service live from the Church's facebook page. Burial will follow at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his mother.
